About Kara
Hello! I’m Kara Macdonald, your go-to expert in title insurance and real estate settlements. As a dedicated sales representative at Potomac Title Group Services, I bring a unique blend of expertise, energy, and enthusiasm to the world of real estate.
For 16 years, I worked “behind the scenes” for title companies, perfecting my own systems, processes, and procedures for all things related to the closing. In 2013, I transitioned into sales for a title company. My job was to build relationships with and ultimately earn business from Realtors and Lenders. One way I did that was by teaching classes.
After hearing from so many Realtors what areas they struggled within their business, I knew I could help. Thus began a journey of developing and teaching classes on systems, organization, time management, overall marketing, social media, branding and lead generation.
I also make time to continue to learn so the value is always there. To date, I have over 200 classes under my belt. The feedback has always been fantastic and I consistently hear from Realtors and Lenders that what they learned from me has moved the needle in their businesses. There is nothing that lights me up like helping someone understand the power of having a marketing plan that works.
I live in Hillsboro, VA with my husband, Coury, and our two dogs, Ginger and Scout. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our four children, seven grandchildren and two dogs. I am passionate about family, faith and dogs!
It is very important to me to connect and partner with people that share the same value system as me. If you were to ask me what my five core values are, my answer would be: authenticity, gratitude, faith, humility and honesty. The older I get, the more I realize how crucial it is to associate with like-minded people. I try to bring these core values to everything I do.
